Split-Join File

Boost XP includes a feature to split and join the files.  Many times you want to transfer large files. Split Files splits the files into number of parts and Join File joins the files.

Split File

Split file is very easy to use. All you have to enter three things

  1. File to Split :  Use the Browse button to browse for a file to split.

  2. Store Folder : Place where split files will be stored.

  3. Split Size :  You can set here the size of files to split. If a file is greater than one MB you can select split parts in MB otherwise it is KB.

Optionally you can also specify a small description. It will let you identify the file you have saved.

Join File

Join files merges down the files you have split, back into one big file. It is very easy to use. Just point to folder where you have split files.  Boost XP will look for a .spt file. It is a database that contains split file information. Next enter a location where you want the join file to store and press the join button. Boost XP will show the progress of joining and store the joined file.

Fix Shortcuts

Boost XP lets you clean all the clutter of broken shortcuts on your System.  It is very easy to use. To clean fix shortcuts on your system you have to do following

  1. Select the Drives to Clean. Normally it is all drives.

  2. Press the start Button. This process will locate all the broken shortcuts on your drive.

  3. Boost XP before classifying a shortcut as broken first try to find its target all over your drives. If it can't find then only it is put on the list box.

  4. After this process is completed you will be presented with the list of broken shortcuts.

  5. You may select them selectively by checking the checkbox or by pressing the Select All button to select all the shortcuts.

  6. Then press the Delete Button to delete these Shortcuts.

Remove Junk & Obsolete Files

Boost XP lets you clean in one easy straight way. To clean your System follow the following steps.

  1. From the search options Select the Drives to Clean. Normally it is all drives. You can Select unselect a drive by checking it in List Control.

  2. Press the Start Search Button. This process will locate all the broken shortcuts on your drive.

  3. Boost XP will show all the junk files in the list box.

  4. After the search is complete you may select them selectively by checking the checkbox or by pressing the Select All button to select all the junk files.

  5. Then press the Delete Button to delete these files.

  6. As a safety matter Boost XP will send all these files to Recycle Bin.

Wipe Delete Files and Folders

Boost XP lets you destroy sensitive files. Please Not that files once deleted by Wipe Delete No recovery is possible even by Undelete Tools.

It is very easy to use this tool.

Just add the files or folders you want to delete. When you select a folder all the child  folders and its recursive folders and files are also marked for deletion. Just press the Delete Button. Boost XP will prompt you that you want to proceed delete operation.  When you press yes Boost XP starts to delete these files.

Please Note that files once delete no recovery is possible. You are advised to be careful when using this option.
